How TraqDesk handles personal data on this website and in the TraqDesk service.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data TraqDesk (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what rights you have. We aim to follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable laws.

1. Two different roles

We handle personal data in two different ways:

  • Website visitors and demo requests. When you visit this website or send us a demo request, we decide how your data is used. For this data, we are the data fiduciary (often called the data controller).
  • Monitoring data in the TraqDesk service. When a business (our customer) uses TraqDesk to monitor its own work PCs, the customer decides what is monitored and why. The customer is the data fiduciary, and we process that data on the customer’s behalf and instructions as their data processor.

2. Website and demo-form data

When you fill in our demo form, we collect your name, company, phone number, and optionally your email, number of PCs, industry and message. We use it only to contact you about a demo, a trial and our service. The form is sent to us by email.

This website does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are downloaded.

We keep demo requests for as long as needed to follow up and for our business records, and then delete them.

3. Monitoring data (the TraqDesk service)

Depending on how our customer sets up TraqDesk, the service may process data about the customer’s employees’ use of company PCs, including:

  • PC name, user, operating system, hardware details and IP address
  • active and idle time, and the name of the app in use
  • website names visited (domain only, not page content), if the browser extension is installed
  • screenshots, live screen views and screen recordings
  • USB drive plug-in events, alerts and attendance times

TraqDesk does not record keystrokes. We process this data only to provide the service to our customer, store it on servers we manage, and do not sell it or use it for advertising. Our customer controls who can see it and how long it is kept. Employees with questions about their data should contact their employer first.

Customers are responsible for using TraqDesk lawfully, including using it on company-owned PCs and informing their employees that work PCs are monitored. See our Terms of Service.

4. How we protect data

  • Each customer has a separate TraqDesk console.
  • Admin accounts are protected with passwords and two-step sign-in.
  • Access is limited by roles and permissions, and admin actions are logged.
  • Data is deleted automatically after the retention period the customer sets.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers we need to run our business (such as hosting and email providers), when required by law, or with your consent.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to raise a grievance. For website and demo-form data, contact us at the address below. For monitoring data, contact your employer, and we will help them respond.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
